The necessity of a great supply of microalgae for various aquatic larvae stages generated an intensification of studies concerning the development of alternative mediums to reduce the cost of natural and artificial mediums previously in use, which were expensive due to the use of chemical substances of high commercial value. So, this study were carried out to test the growth of Chaetoceros sp. in some simple mediums.
